Torque is built into a buccal tube through the orientation of the main tube relative to its base. Because orthodontic systems may use different molar prescriptions, a standard catalog configuration does not always match every customer's requirements.
A customer asked SINO ORTHO to develop a banded first-molar assembly with a customer-specified 12° built-in torque.
The customized main tube has an internal opening of 0.57 × 0.80 mm and a tube length of 4.00 mm. It is prewelded to the selected molar band before delivery. The established materials and manufacturing processes for the buccal tube and band were retained.
This customized orientation allows the completed tube-and-band assembly to match the customer’s appliance prescription and intended buccolingual molar control. Prewelded delivery also removes the need for the customer to position and weld the tube separately.
After confirming the sample, the customer proceeded with a bulk order.
This 12° configuration is not currently offered as a standard retail product. It remains available through SINO ORTHO’s OEM/ODM service. Other torque values, tube dimensions, hook configurations, band sizes, and tooth positions can also be evaluated according to individual project requirements.
